I think I was around 17 years old. It was my first few years in the tourism sector.  I was working at a hotel in Kemer, a district of Antalya. Two of us were on a break in a corner of the hotel’s restaurant.

I was constantly complaining about a lot of things. My body language, the frustrated look on my face, must have caught the attention of a German guest who approached us and asked,"May I sit here?"

I immediately invited her to join us, thanks to our shared knowledge of German. We offered her some tea, and after taking a sip, her first words were, “I am a cancer patient.”

My friend, finding the topic too heavy, quickly excused herself and left.

I kept so quiet that I would probably keep quiet forever.

Because being quiet was the way I communicated with my father in my tiny world. My father would come home tired in the evenings.
I would get bored at home all day and eagerly await his arrival. As soon as he walked through the door, I would throw myself on his neck and want to play with him.

My father would hug me, kiss me, and then say, go to your room. When dinner was ready, my mother would call me, and this time we would get together at the table with my father. While they were talking to my mother, I would intervene and when I couldn’t be heard, I would shout.

The meaning of the word "Ham" in English is "a dish made by salting and drying the upper part of the pig's leg". So, did the hamburger get its name because it was made from pork?..

Absolutely not! The history of the hamburger dates back to the Turkish communities known as Tatars in Central Asia. At that time, the warrior Tatar horses ate raw meat. Over time, they discovered that when they put this meat under their saddles, as a result of the movements of the horses on long expeditions, this meat somehow cooked a little and became easier to chew.

Not when you watch TV too close. Until the late 1960s, TV sets using cathode ray tubes emitted very low levels of ultraviolet radiation, and TV viewers were advised not to watch TV from closer than 2 meters.

Children were the most at risk. Since children's eyes can easily adapt to changes in distance, children can watch TV from much closer than adults.

About 40 years ago, the Convention on Radiation Control for Health and Safety made TVs completely safe by requiring manufacturers to use leaded glass for cathode ray tubes.

Human beings have tried to understand nature in order to sustain their lives since their existence, and they have solved what they could with their intellectual and objective skills under the current conditions, but they have attributed the things that their intellectual and objective skills could not handle to a hidden power.

In the process, when it moved to a settled religious/agricultural society, it created its own values as a result of the abstract and concrete needs it felt under the conditions of the day, and created its own sacred values by sanctifying some values. With these created sacred values, it also formed the clergy as the teachers of sanctity.

Hello again From Russia!

In my previous article, I wrote an article in April about my 6-month experiences in Moscow. As of September 2024, my adventure here has almost reached the end of a year and a half and I thought of writing a second article.

In my previous article, I shared my observations about different areas from university life to education, from climate to social life. In this article, after a brief introduction to climate and university life, I will try to give striking and detailed information about social life.

First of all, let's start with the harsh Russian winter and climate that has been freezing us to the bone since the first days of January when I wrote this article. Just like last year, this year too, the new year welcomed us with terrifying cold. With the beginning of January, the air temperature dropped suddenly to -25, -27 degrees. Moreover, the perceived temperature sometimes drops to -30, -35 degrees.

Chickens, by far. There are an estimated 52 billion chickens in the world: nine for every human being. 75 percent of these are for food, but for almost 3,000 years chickens were raised primarily for their eggs, and until the Romans arrived in England no one was known to eat chicken meat.

All chickens in the world are descended from a species of pheasant native to Thailand called the Red Jungle Fowl (Gallus gallus gallus). Its closest modern relative is the fighting cock.

Mass production of chickens and eggs began in the 1800s

Chicken meat for food began as a by-product of egg production. At first, only chickens that were old and not laying enough eggs were slaughtered and sold as meat. Chicken meat was still a luxury in the 1960s. Until the 1970s, chickens were no longer the meat of choice for most families.

You know the puma. The distant ancestor of wild cats. The spotted predator, about two meters long. Let's explain this definition, which takes the name of the syndrome from this animal.

The puma is famous for many features, this wonderful cat of the forests. But it is best known for its fast and agile running. It is a pleasure to watch its movements, which gradually accelerate from the moment it pursues its prey and reveal all the joints and muscles of its body. This death run sometimes ends with the victory of the puma, and sometimes with the victory of the victim running for its life.

So how long does a puma run after its prey? This feature of the puma is what makes the wild hunter of the forests an example for man, the founder of civilizations. The puma always adjusts the "death run" it continues after its prey according to the size of its prey. In other words, the time it runs to catch a gazelle is never the same as the time it spends after a rabbit. Because the puma is an intelligent animal, and the puma gives up running when the amount of energy it spends while running exceeds the amount of potential energy it will obtain from the prey. He accepts defeat and looks for other prey. For this reason, he runs after the gazelle more and after the rabbit much less.

A remarkable discovery emerges from history as a 3,700-year-old clay tablet reveals the ancient Babylonians’ understanding of the Pythagorean theorem, predating Pythagoras by over a millennium.

Discovered in 1894 by a French archaeological expedition and now housed in the Istanbul Archaeological Museum, the tablet, Si.427, served as a practical tool for ancient land surveyors. It contains cuneiform instructions clarifying the construction of precise right triangles, representing humanity’s earliest documented application of geometry.

Daniel Mansfield, a mathematician from the University of New South Wales, explained the significance of Si.427’s markings, highlighting the Babylonians’ proto-trigonometric approach tailored for terrestrial measurements.

Si.427 not only delineates land boundaries but also provides insights into legal and geometric intricacies concerning divided fields. It includes sets of Pythagorean triples, like 3, 4, 5 and 8, 15, 17, used in land demarcation.

Mansfield’s prior discovery, Plimpton 322, shares a similar significance, showcasing the Babylonians’ pioneering efforts in trigonometry, crucial for property delineation during an era witnessing the rise of private land ownership.

**Title: Coincidence**

---

In the heart of New York City, where millions crisscross paths daily, two souls unknowingly embarked on a journey destined by fate. Emma, a vibrant art curator, dedicated her life to preserving the beauty of forgotten art, while Lucas, a driven architect, poured his passion into shaping the skyline of tomorrow. Little did they know, their paths had crossed long before they ever met.

---

**Chapter 1: Serendipity Strikes**

On a brisk autumn afternoon, Emma found herself lost in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, her sanctuary amidst the chaos of city life. She was meticulously arranging an exhibit when she noticed a sketch tucked away in an old, dusty corner—a forgotten masterpiece by an anonymous artist. As she gazed upon the intricate strokes, she felt a sense of connection, as if the artist's soul whispered to her across time.

Meanwhile, Lucas stood on a construction site across town, admiring the skeletal framework of a new skyscraper that would soon dominate the skyline. His mind drifted to his childhood dream of building a place where dreams could soar. Little did he know, fate had already set his path in motion.

---

**Chapter 2: Unraveling Connections**

Days passed, and Emma found herself drawn to the sketch, studying its every detail. Determined to uncover its origins, she delved into archives and old records, tracing clues that led her down a winding path of forgotten history. Meanwhile, Lucas attended an art charity event, hoping to support local artists and find inspiration for his latest project.

At the event, their paths finally converged. Emma stood near the sketch, lost in thought, when Lucas approached her out of curiosity. Their conversation flowed effortlessly, their shared passion for art and architecture igniting a spark neither could ignore. As they exchanged stories and laughter, they realized their lives had been intertwined long before they ever met.

---

**Chapter 3: Building Dreams Together**

With each passing day, Emma and Lucas discovered more coincidences that bound them together—a shared love for coffee at a small café in Greenwich Village, a favorite book tucked away on the same library shelf, and a mutual friend who had tried to introduce them years ago. As their friendship deepened into love, they found themselves building dreams together—Emma curating exhibitions that showcased Lucas's architectural marvels, while Lucas designed a gallery space that breathed life into Emma's cherished artworks.

Their journey was not without challenges—a misunderstanding that tested their trust, a career opportunity that demanded sacrifice, and moments of doubt that questioned their shared future. Yet, with each obstacle, they emerged stronger, their love standing tall like the skyscrapers Lucas built and as timeless as the art Emma curated.

---

**Chapter 4: A Destiny Fulfilled**

On a crisp spring morning, beneath the blossoming cherry trees of Central Park, Lucas knelt before Emma with a vintage ring—an heirloom that once belonged to the anonymous artist whose sketch had brought them together. With tears of joy and laughter, Emma said yes, knowing in her heart that their love was not a mere coincidence but a destiny fulfilled—a story written in the stars long before they even knew each other's names.

As they exchanged vows in a quaint chapel overlooking the city they both loved, surrounded by family, friends, and the art that had guided them, Emma and Lucas vowed to continue building dreams together—a testament to the power of fate and the beauty of love that transcends time and place.

---

**Epilogue: Forever in Each Other's Hearts**

Years passed, and Emma and Lucas continued to thrive in their careers and their love. They traveled the world, discovering new art and architecture, creating memories that mirrored the beauty of their journey together. In their cozy apartment overlooking the skyline Lucas had shaped, they reminisced about their serendipitous meeting, forever grateful for the coincidences that led them to each other.

Their story became a legend in the bustling streets of New York—a reminder that sometimes, in the chaos of life, the most beautiful moments are born out of the smallest, most unexpected coincidences. And as they held hands, watching the sunset paint the city in hues of gold and amber, Emma whispered to Lucas, "We were meant to find each other, weren't we?"

And Lucas, with a smile that echoed the sketch of the anonymous artist, replied, "Yes, my love. We were destined to create our own masterpiece."

---

In the bustling city where dreams collide and fate weaves its intricate tapestry, Emma and Lucas found their forever—a love story as timeless as art itself, painted with the strokes of coincidence and boundless love.

Choices and loves

I made bad choices I chose platonic loves, I chose to love platonically….. Love is seen in two. Two doves who love each other in the sky, two butterflies who live the one day they loved. I would like to be a butterfly, to fully enjoy the few days I have to live, just loving.

Two children playing on a rocking chair, two grandparents walking hand in hand and with the same hearts.... There were times when we lived in a platonic love we see it imperfect perfect. Why ? Because I loved or believed that…

The wrong people always teach us something, to appreciate and learn what love is. After this platonic love, I found myself, I learned to love myself, maybe I am grateful for that to him.

A love, a longing, a tear, a smile, a pleasure, a pain, a passion, a labyrinth, a dream, a man...

If in life you are destined to meet a man, you will meet him regardless of whether he is near you or far away. I didn't abandon love, I believed in it, I believed that my man was out there somewhere and that he would find me.

I let myself be carried away by the sea, whether I was going to be food for sharks or not, I trusted what my heart dictated this time too. Yes, I was afraid, afraid of crossing a path for another passerby in my life.

Distance brings people closer, separates them, takes them to the heights of longing, tests love. You love more the one who can't be by your side all the time, because you appreciate his presence more, you fully enjoy the moments when you are together.

If I were to call Copenhagen the capital of the north, I think I would not be unfair to other cities. As the capital and largest city of Denmark, it is a place with a rich history, culture and modern lifestyle. The city, which is on the list of the best in the world in terms of living, exceeds the expectations of its tourists.

Here are some important places to visit in Copenhagen:

Tivoli Garden and Amusement Park: Tivoli, one of the oldest amusement parks in the world, is a place full of various entertainments, restaurants and concerts. It offers a colorful and lively atmosphere, especially in summer. It is right across from the train station and does not only appeal to children. You will see that adults spend more time inside than children.

Copenhagen Harbour and Nyhavn: Nyhavn, the old harbour, is famous for its colourful buildings, cafes and harbour views. Here you can take a walk, eat at various restaurants and take boat tours.

Cleopatra is known to be one of the most beautiful monarchs in history. However, it must be noted that she was more than just her beauty.

She was an influential leader and the last Hellenic ruler in Egypt. After her reign, Egypt became a province of the Roman Empire.

Cleopatra was both loved and hated in Egypt. One thing that endeared Egyptians was her effort to learn the language while ruling the country.

The other Ptolemaic rulers never did. They ruled Egypt from the largely Greek city of Alexandria.

Let’s look at the remarkable life of Cleopatra, a leader known for her beauty, dalliances with other powerful leaders, and strategic mind.
